HISTORY OF CAPITAL SOURCE

CSI, formerly Virginia Community Development Loan Fund (VCDLF), is a Virginia Corporation formed in March of 1995.  CSI has also received an Advanced Ruling from the Internal Revenue Service that recognizes the corporation as a 501 c 3 Tax Exempt Organization.  The mission of CSI is to assist in the development of alternative funding models that facilitate business development and subsequent economic development opportunities. 

This mission is accomplished by providing access to entrepreneurial training, technical assistance and loan capital to those entrepreneurs that lack access to traditional resources.
